~Assignments will be noted here weekly.  If the assignment is one that can be uploaded, you will also be able to print it out from here in case you lose it.

~Any Powerpoint presentations used in class, along with the student notes, will be uploaded.  These will be found in the FILES section below.  Look in the appropriate folder for the unit.  This will be helpful for students that have missed class, allowing them to get any notes that they've missed.

~Tests will be announced here several days ahead of time.

~Due dates for labs and extended assignments/projects will be announced here as well.

**STATE LAB #1 DUE ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 21**

Monday - NO SCHOOL ... COLUMBUS DAY

Tuesday --> Finish chart on atomic mass.  Do Periodic Table diagram.  Notes with lecture/discussion on objectives  4, 5

Wednesday --> Finish notes from Monday.  Start next objectives (7 - 9).  Start atom drawing practice in NB. Homework --> finish the atom drawing practice sheet.

Thursday --> NB drawings for bonds.

Friday --> Quiz, open NB.  HW --> Reading Guide
Week of 10/7 - 10/11
Monday - Review for Unit Test   HW --> Study for Unit Test

Tuesday - Unit Test on Life Activities    HW -- Reading Guide Ch. 2

Wednesday - Set up Notebooks for Basic Chemistry unit; video clip on Properties of Water; Notebook Questions  
                    HW --> Cover Page for Basic Chemistry

Thursday - Notes for Objectives 1 - 4; label atom diagram in Notebook.

Monday -- Set up Notebooks for new unit.  Life Activities Organizer Activity  HW --> design Cover Page in notebook

Tuesday -- Check homework.  Lecture/discussion/notes on Objectives 1 - 3.

Wednesday -- Lecture/discussion/notes on Objectives 4 - 7, 10.  HW --> Characteristics of Living Things

Thursday -- Lecture/discussion/notes on Objectives 8, 9, 11.

Friday -- Lecture/discussion/notes on Objectives 12 - 15. 
Week of 9/23 - 9/27
**UNIT TEST THURSDAY ON SCIENTIFIC METHOD**
Monday -- "How To Write a Constructed Response Question"    HW:  Regents CRQ

Tuesday -- collect CRQ.  Scientific Method Task Card team "competition."  HW:  Regents Review Sheet (this HW is not eligible to be turned in late)

Wednesday -- check and go over HW.  Go over CRQs from Monday.  Do Analysis Questions in Notebooks.  Review for Unit Test.

Thursday -- Unit Test on Scientific Method unit.  HW:  Reading Guide

Friday -- collect HW.  Life Activities organizer activity. 
Week of 9/9 - 9/13
LAB #1 DUE WEDNESDAY**

Monday - Set up Interactive Notebooks.  Homework --> Cover Page for Ch. 1 and number notebook pages. 

Tuesday - In library to register for online textbook website. 

Wednesday - notes on Science Introduction.

Thursday - notes on Observation versus Inference.  Homework --> Dinosaur Obs. vs. Inf. worksheet.

Friday - Mystery Object Activity
